I am 20 year old girl and live in a flat on second floor. My bathroom window is toword the street and covered with curtain. But if you try little harder , you can poke inside, but for that you will need ladder and there is big risk of being caught. Most importantly, it is not ovious. I never dreamed that some body will look. To make long story short, two neiougbourhood guys, on the excuse of doing maintaiance, did poke through when i was taking shower at night. I think that they saw me naked, but i am not 100% sure, but 99%. I can see the smile on their face and the fact i know that they were doing some maintainance work at the same time. What should i do? Do not carry for what has happened because you are not sure but be careful and inform the society manager that as and when there is any maintenance the flat owners should be informed (not to be mentioned -so that this type of mistakes are not repeated). Are you staying alone in the flat or with your parents. If with parents then instead of your complaining, it should be your parents.

my partment is drafty and doesnt seem to be well insulated, i have put up bedsheets as curtains, because i cant afford curtains right now, i put old clothes in the cracks of my windows and patio glass sliding doors, to help keep the air out, is there something i could be doing better like would using plastic bags block the draft better? i dont really have anymore money to spend right now, i wanted a space heater, but all the ones i could afford were sold out.
you can get some caulk and fill all cracks around doors and windows where you feel a draft. if you light a match and hold it near the suspected draft, you will actually see the flame flicker.
there are plastic window sheets that are sold at the hardware store and are duct taped inside the window ans that keeps out drafts. both these solutions are very low cost. also, theres weather strips for doors. these are narrow self sticking felt strips you fit around the door to keep the cold out

Don't Let a Draft Cost You Money The biggest waste of money is the drafty window. You can tell if your windows are drafty by using the candle trick. Simply light a candle and slowly move it around the window. If the flame flickers or worse goes out, then you have a draft. When you find a draft, it is important to seal it immediately.
Insulate the Window You insulate your attic. You insulate your walls. However, the window is left untreated. Does this make sense? Of course it doesn't. Yet, in the past, you were left with only a few options.
First, you could install a separate window. Some people install storm windows on the outside of a regular window to get the benefit of both storm protection and insulation. However, this makes opening the windows a pain, not to mention the cleaning nightmare!
Your next option was the double pane window. This was a better option and it was more attractive. The double pane gave you a bit more insulation but still allowed the sun to heat up surrounding areas.
