Making clothes to sell .. how hard is it?
I am leaving school very soon! 
in about a month and i have my heart set on (in the evenings) starting my own online clothes shop. I want to make the clothes myself because then i know that there unique and also it will mean that it's slightly cheaper than most clothes as i don't need to pay for other people to make them. My mum will sure help me out at first and my mum said that i can use her sowing machine as she never uses it but it's not the best so for my birthday (4th may) she will buy me a brand new one so i can get working.
How hard will it be for me to do this? I've never really done it before, well i've helped my mum cut out the material when she made dresses and curtains so i know that she can help me.
Do you think it will be a good idea? I need to know because i'm going out to buy some of the things for it 2moz .. that's if it's a good idea
Obviously i will have to make all the clothes before i set the website up.
You should check out www.etsy.com for a good place to start! It's a site for people who make their own crafts/jewelry/clothing to publicize/sell their handmade goods. If your clothing is reasonably priced, unique, and of good value, people will definitely be attracted to it if you get the word out there. You could probably also talk to some of the sellers on the site about their experience. Good luck!
